Rain Fails to Stop Hack Claiming Pole

Andy Hack put himself in the best position to claim his sixth win of the 2009 saeson at Castle Combe by taking pole position 1.4 seconds ahead of Paul Thompson as a wet track caused problems for a few drivers.

 
Thompson's time of 1m30.107 was nearly matched by Mark Smith, with 2nd to 8th on the Mini Miglia grid split by 0.406 of a second. Robert Howard had his best ever qualifying session to finish in 4th just 0.008s ahead of Dave Drew and another 0.024s in front of Sarah Munns.
 
The 10 lap race for Round 6 of the 2009 Dunlop Mini Miglia Challenge will take place at 15:45, with the winner claiming the Besley & Copp Trophy.
